Retaining our 3 million paid subscribers and keeping them engaged was a top priority. To do that, we enabled fitness tracking with Apple Watch and other devices, motivated usage through gamification, and tracked users’ progress across all our platforms.
Our Apple Watch app let you log your heart rate, while also letting you pause, play and end your workout.
During the workout, you track your heart rate and zone, and see your progress through your HR zones
During a bike workout, you can monitor your ride stats, including speed and distance
Post-workout, you see an overview of your stats
We launched gamification to increase fitness and nutrition engagement and social sharing. After launch, we saw engagement rise by 18% with the targeted user base, and saw a notable uptick in social sharing.
